Sources tell me tonight that it's official: LSU and Alabama will meet again in New Orleans in the BCS title game.  It still remains to be seen whether or not TCU automatically qualifies for a BCS berth (I'm not optimistic).

That would put Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, against Stanford (an automatic qualifier).

The Orange will have Clemson facing West Virginia.

The Sugar will feature Michigan against Virginia Tech.

Other bowl matchups are starting to leak out as well.  Keep checking our bowl page for the latest.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Spoken like a Northerner, who's never been to the South at all.  It's not like we have NASA, DoD facilities, and several large companies producing high-tech telecommunications equipment here in the South at all.  We may have Mercedez and Honda plants, but we don't know what electricity is.  We may have beautiful subdivisions with some of the lowest property taxes in the country, but we can't hold a candle to the $500 former crack dens available in Cleveland.  Yes sir, we Southern folk are pretty retarded, what with our college degrees and such....

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

I refuse to watch this game! I hope it is 3-0 and bama wins. Then what? Okie St got screwed....Boise, wow, can't even imagine how they feel. Everyone in the SEC are happy. They very well could be the best teams with  big ?  But I would give Stanford or okie st a shot. More than that I would give 6 more a shot in a playoff. I would think that at the most, LSU would be in the championship game. The longer this keeps dragging on, the more college ffotball and the fans suffer. I watch football every week, not so much basketball, but come bracket time, very exciting. I look at the bowls this year and it is sad......very sad.....not excited about too many games.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Hey Lastram, I thought A&M went to SEC, not the other way around. But the SEC needed Mizzou to have an even amount of teams. I will watch the rematch because Alabama will give LSU a mutch better game than Oklahoma State would. I think the SEC is the best conference but my favorite team sits in the Big 12 so don't call me a homer.

Maybe we should have just let the south secede from the union. It doesn't really add anything to the country anyway. There's nothing there  but unemployment, hurricanes, Chick-fil-a and tornadoes.... and corrupt college football played  by oversigned players.

Bama, why are you still arguing?  You're team is in the NCS?  Why do you care?  Unless, you deep down know that your team really should not be.  hrrmh.. 4 missed feild goals.. grrr.. lol..

If the SEC is sooo strong, and the Big XII so weak, why did the SEC go out and bribe a couple of perrenial non contenders, A&M and Mizzou to join their conference?   Secondly, why did the leave the Bg XII?  My theory is they figure they will have a better chance in the SEC because if you take out the top 3 schools, from top to bottom it is a very weak conference and with the way they must schedule with 14 teams, they will not have to play the top teams every year.  It is a shell game and everyone who isn't drinking the SEC Kool Aid knows it!

I will not watch this "rematch".

Dawg, lol, the first thing that came up was a stihl comercial, but that was a pretty cool video.

BW, You have put more thought into it than I have, but I like where you are going.  Conference champs get into a playoff bracket of sorts.  Where there might be empty slots.. slide in those that are the best.  That works for me

If the Big 12 is as powerful as OK State wants us to believe, then why are two teams from the SEC, Big 10, Pac-10, and even the ACC in BCS Bowls and only one team from the Big 12? Don't tell me that the Sugar Bowl selected Virginia Tech because their fans travel better than Big 12 teams. The Sugar Bowl knew Hawaii and Cincinnati would not travel well and still extended them invitations.
