Sources tell me tonight that it's official: LSU and Alabama will meet again in New Orleans in the BCS title game.  It still remains to be seen whether or not TCU automatically qualifies for a BCS berth (I'm not optimistic).

That would put Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, against Stanford (an automatic qualifier).

The Orange will have Clemson facing West Virginia.

The Sugar will feature Michigan against Virginia Tech.

Other bowl matchups are starting to leak out as well.  Keep checking our bowl page for the latest.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

IT'S BOISE STATE   THEY DID NOT LOSE A GAME BUT ALAS THEY GAVE ONE AWAY BUT 2 A TOP 15 TEAM..........??

That makes no sense...Bama lost to the #1 team at home...Boise loses at home to TCU...Uh yeah...Thanks for playing TurtleBchBum..

I agree there needs to be a playoff but there is no doubt in my mind the two best teams are playing in the National Championship Game...and there is no doubt in my mind that Alabama would beat Oklahoma State if they played at a neutral site. Look both teams shut down Arkansas who is also better than Oklahoma State IMHO.

With that being said.. If there were a Playoff System right now...THESE TWO TEAMS WOULD PLAY EACH OTHER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. NOBODY ELSE in COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS GOING TO BATON ROUGE or TUSCALOOSA and BEATING EITHER OF THESE TEAMS.. SO THE #1 SEED AND THE #2 SEED WOULD HOLD UP IN A PLAYOFF SYSTEM.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

as a person with no ties to either conference i can look at this objectively. one team beat 3 ranked teams the other team beat 7 ranked teams. one came from a conferencce with 4 teams in the top 25 in the bcs and the other team from a conference with 6 teams in the bcs top 25. so this sec dominance one speaks of is fales. the big 12 had more top 25 teams than the sec and osu had more quality wins than alabama by this criteria they should be in oh and they finished as conference champs not 3rd in conference.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Do you think anyone outside the SEC really cares about this? Does anyone want to see another baseball game? Do you think anyone will believe LSU is national champion if they haven't beaten anyone better tha 'Bama? This is a joke, and no one will take it seriously.

It won't be on in my home that day, guaranteed. Been a Nielson's house for 5 years also.

If this were  to have happened in any other conference, we would be seeing it different. F espn and F cbs. Stay in cahouts if you want to. I'll watch Fox and BTN.

Well isn't that just dandy. The SEC, media and the B(c)S folks got what they wanted. College football has become a total sham. Well, I won't be watching it. OKST deserved a shot, but hey fairness is not in the NCAA's vocabulary. Money, money, money. MONEY! That's what the NCAA is all about. Dreams of playing for a championship? Deserving or not is not what NCAA & the B(c)S is about. It's money. Student/athletes. Right. Forgitaboutit.

The SEC and CBS is full of themseves. I can remember a few years back, when there was a possible Ohio State Michigan rematch, everyone was up in arms. This can't be Michigan didn't even win thier conference etc. Now with the marriage of CBS and the SEC,it's the "DREAMMMMMMMMMM Rematch, I say BS I'll be counting snow flakes rather than waching that game.IMHO, I think the SEC is the most "under policed" (crooked) conference in college sports.
